LS3P Shares in Annual Day of Caring

LS3P’s Charleston office participated in the Trident United Way’s 2014 Day of Caring, giving the playgrounds and athletic areas of Sedgefield Intermediate School a fresh new look. During the volunteer day, LS3P staff members painted basketball, Toss-Up, and Foursquare courts, created a tetherball pole, landscaped a playground, and laid a turf playing field. The annual event pairs corporate volunteer teams with local schools and agencies and offers a wide variety of projects to support community programs.

The new playground earned rave reviews from students and faculty. Dr. Creighton Eddings, Sedgefield Elementary School Principal, told the volunteers, “We are so grateful for the generous contribution from LS3P and all of their supporting partners.  Our students now have a playground that is safe, entertaining, and a source of pride.” LS3P’s partners for the event included Thompson Turner Construction, Green Acres Turf Farm, Good Natured Gardening, Three Oaks Construction, Design Works, and Sherwin Williams.
