Designed as a mission-critical facility, the 321,000-square-foot 3rd Army (ARCENT) Headquarters supports approximately 1,500 personnel within a highly secure and technologically advanced workplace. The headquarters integrates resilient infrastructure, flexible work environments, and specialized operational spaces to support complex military operations and long-term mission readiness.

Advanced Operational Environment
The headquarters features a 24-inch raised access floor system throughout and incorporates N+1 redundancy across all major mechanical and electrical systems, including dual power feeds to the server farm. Secure program areas include a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) with SAP and STO capabilities. The project also included a comprehensive furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) package supporting open office workspaces, training and conference areas, and a two-story Operations Center equipped with large-scale information display systems.
Integrated Design and Delivery
Given the project’s complexity and extensive electronic infrastructure, the design-build team led a series of collaborative planning charrettes to define system requirements, validate design strategies, and align project delivery with the technical requirements of the design-build solicitation. Following award, additional charrettes refined space planning, incorporated mission-specific needs, and established an integrated delivery schedule for the $95 million project. The team also implemented a comprehensive quality control program, safety plan, and small disadvantaged business participation strategy. Design coordination was supported through a fully integrated REVIT BIM process and secure cloud-based collaboration tools, while sustainability goals were evaluated through LEED Silver planning with consideration for LEED Gold certification.
