Vice President  |  Principal  |  Columbia Office Leader

As the leader of the Columbia office, Mary Beth Sims Branham brings more than 30 years of experience to the firm. A Columbia, SC native, Mary Beth opened LS3P’s Columbia office in 2004. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2014, the Columbia office has become one of the premier architectural offices in the Midlands. In addition to business development and office leadership, she is actively involved in the day-to-day management of projects, with a particular focus on programming and initial design stages.

It is with this type of leadership that Mary Beth served as the youngest (and only second) female president of AIA South Carolina in 2004. An architectural design graduate of Clemson University in 1981, Mary Beth began her career as a project architect specializing in public K-12 educational facilities.  Her experience now also includes higher education, office/commercial and civic projects. She is an active member in a number of organizations, serving in leadership roles including the Urban Land Institute/SC, the Council for Educational Facilities International (CEFPI), and the Clemson Architectural Foundation Board.

Mary Beth’s most important role has been as the mother of two wonderful sons. Besides architecture, one of her passions through the years has been performing in local community musical theatre productions; performing as Grizabella in “Cats” was indeed a role of a lifetime. Her passion for the design of facilities for her clients brings her the same level of excitement and appreciation for the part she can play in bringing her clients’ visions to realities.
