Salvation Army Center of Hope Ribbon Cutting

The Salvation Army of Cape Fear celebrated the dedication of the new Center of Hope this morning. This new facility, which has been 10+ years in the making, will provide 75 beds for men, women and children facing homelessness, social work and case management services, life skills classes, meals for residents, and a daily community meal.

Salvation Army Major Ken Morris said in his remarks to the crowd, “Today marks a pivotal moment in our community’s commitment to serving those in need. We officially open the doors of a building that represents more than just brick and mortar. It embodies hope, transformation, and our dedication to restoring dignity to every person who walks through our doors.”

Fundraising is already underway for Phase 2 which will include an activity and worship hall.
