Wake Technical Community College Health Sciences Building H

This project includes a 62,000 Health Sciences Building, 28,000 SF Skilled Trades Building, and a 6,700 Regional Plant. The 62,000 SF classroom building will include 28,000 SF of state-of-the-art allied health training space. The design showcases the technologically advanced programs and research functions and housed within, and features expansive views of the stream buffer and preserved forest to create blended indoor/outdoor spaces. An innovative teacher resource center will foster collaboration and a spirit of community while providing facilities for faculty training. First floor program spaces include traditional classrooms, smart classrooms, and faculty support spaces, while the second floor houses a STEM lab as well as classroom and laboratory space for microbiology, biology, and A & P programs.

The facility is pursuing LEED® Silver and was completed in May 2016.
