Following the devastating loss of its historic sanctuary, St. Luke United Methodist Church partnered with LS3P to create a new home for worship that honors the congregation’s past while supporting its future.

Preserving Memory & Meaning
The 200-seat sanctuary was designed to carry forward the spirit and character of the original church, weaving treasured elements into a renewed architectural expression. A prominent bell tower showcases the salvaged bell and cross from the former sanctuary, serving as both a community landmark and a symbol of continuity. Inside, the original stained glass windows were carefully framed and integrated into new sanctuary windows, preserving familiar touchstones that connect generations of worshippers to the church’s history.
Design Details
Thoughtfully planned site and building improvements enhance both the worship experience and the functionality of the campus. The relocation of the parsonage allows the sanctuary to become the focal point of the site, creating a stronger sense of arrival and identity. Exposed glulam trusses, warm stained wood paneling, and an intimate balcony contribute to a welcoming and uplifting environment, while improved lighting, circulation, accessibility, and support spaces provide a modern worship setting designed to serve the congregation for years to come.
