Dan Scheaffer is a Principal with LS3P and leads the firm’s Charleston office. With more than two decades of experience, he specializes in complex education, commercial, healthcare, and transportation projects, including advanced learning environments for nursing, health sciences, aeronautics, manufacturing, dental medicine, and technical education.

Committed to professional and educational outreach, Dan has served as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer at Trident Technical College and remains active in supporting emerging design professionals. His leadership within the American Institute of Architects spans local and state roles, culminating in service as President of AIA South Carolina. Additionally, he contributes to organizations such as the LS3P Foundation, the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, and Trident United Way’s Day of Caring.

Dan has received an AIA Young Architects Award and an AIA Design Excellence Award, is a graduate of Leadership Charleston, and is recognized by the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce as a Forty Under 40 honoree.
