Jordan Powers & the A+D Photo Summit
Next week, we’re proud to see LS3P’s own Jordan Powers, our in‑house photographer, take center stage in the global architecture and design photography community as the creator, host, and organizer of the A+D Photo Summit. What makes this especially impressive is that this isn’t just another industry conference—it’s the first conference in the world created specifically for Architecture and Design (A+D) photographers.
Jordan has long been deeply engaged in the A+D photography community, hosting workshops and events and producing online courses focused on lighting, video production, licensing, and architectural photography. After years of attending conferences that leaned more toward real estate photography, Jordan recognized a gap: there was nothing truly built for photographers working in architecture and design. When partnership opportunities didn’t materialize, Jordan did what great leaders do—stepped up and built something new.
The A+D Photo Summit was born from that vision. Originally launched in 2024 in Nashville (in a beautifully renovated 1800s church), the Summit returns this year on March 4–5 in Austin, Texas, hosted at Assembly Hall—a modern, architecturally rich adaptive‑reuse project that once served as a doggy day care. Staying true to the mission, each Summit is intentionally held in a unique, design‑forward venue rather than a traditional hotel ballroom. This year’s event will welcome 130+ photographers from around the world, including attendees traveling from as far as New Zealand, Shanghai, and Slovenia, along with several industry sponsors.
Beyond the two‑day conference, the Summit spans an entire week of workshops, meetups, and immersive experiences. The speaker lineup includes eight industry leaders, such as world‑renowned photographers Ema Peter, Simon Devitt, and Joe Fletcher, along with an AI expert who is also an interior designer, a Magnolia Network TV host who is also an interiors photographer, and a panel featuring a Luxe editor alongside an Austin‑based stylist and interior designer. The depth and diversity of perspectives reflect Jordan’s thoughtful approach to creating a well‑rounded, future‑focused event for the A+D community.
Looking ahead, Jordan is already planning future Summits and is exploring locations in the Southeast—including Charleston, Asheville, Greenville, and Charlotte. If you have ideas or connections to architecturally interesting venues in these areas, Jordan would love to hear from you.
Please join us in congratulating Jordan on this incredible achievement and for representing LS3P’s creativity, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit on a global stage.
