Phased for Success

Working closely with Aiken County School District, LS3P developed a long-term strategy that allowed the school to remain fully operational throughout demolition, renovation, and new construction activities. Each phase was meticulously planned to minimize disruption to students and staff while maintaining rigorous safety standards and supporting the continuity of daily campus life.

Design Details

Completed over more than a decade, the phased implementation gradually reshaped the campus into a cohesive, future-focused learning environment. The first phase, completed in 2013, introduced a new two-story science classroom building and a field house, establishing the foundation for future growth. Phase 2A, completed in 2017, delivered a new administration suite, general classrooms, media center, student dining and food service areas, and business education classrooms and laboratories. The following year, Phase 2B expanded academic and extracurricular opportunities through the addition of an auxiliary gymnasium and dedicated spaces for art, sewing and child care, culinary arts, ROTC, band, and chorus programs. In 2019, Phase 2C renovated the existing gymnasium, modernizing a key campus facility while preserving a valued community asset. Most recently, Phase 2D culminated in the completion of a new auditorium in 2024, providing a premier venue for performances, assemblies, and community events.
