The joint efforts of Charleston, Berkley, and Dorchester Counties led to the public ribbon cutting ceremony for the structure which facilitates the critical process of identifying materials from crime sites with linking DNA evidence to accused criminals, and in many cases exonerating those who are unjustly held. The 2 year accreditation and validation process for state and federal evidence processing begins now which will assist in the judicial systems process begins now and once ready will shorten the timelines for processing crimes.

 

County Special Projects Manager Michael Beveridge, Contract Construction as Design Builder, LS3P as the design team lead along with MWL (specialty forensics lab designer), MMSA, DWG, J&A, Reveer Group, Outdoor Spatial Design, and Salas O’Brien (Epstein Group) all contributed to the execution of the planning and design efforts. The project is designed for One Green Globe.
