Industrial Inspirations
The design embraces an industrial-inspired architectural language, transforming economical materials into a distinctive and expressive identity. A refined composition of precast concrete, expansive curtainwall gathering spaces, and sculptural metal fins creates a cohesive visual framework that balances durability, transparency, and contemporary character. Layered canopies and thoughtfully articulated entry elements introduce rhythm, depth, and human-scaled moments that enhance the arrival experience and establish a strong sense of place.
Inside, the design interprets the church’s commitment to “resourceful excellence” through spaces that are both purposeful and inspiring. Strategic material selections, carefully crafted details, and a warm, modern aesthetic demonstrate how thoughtful design can deliver beauty, functionality, and lasting impact while remaining grounded in stewardship and value.
Design Details
RDU Airport-inspired environments transform children’s ministry into an immersive journey of exploration, encouraging young learners to connect with their local community while fostering a broader awareness of the world around them. Complementing these spaces, a thoughtfully designed Volunteer Headquarters provides a restorative retreat for church volunteers, offering areas for respite, connection, and support throughout the day.
Blurring the boundaries between indoors and out, the design extends the energy of the ministry beyond the building itself, creating flexible gathering environments that support worship, baptisms, fellowship, and meaningful community engagement. Together, these spaces cultivate a dynamic campus experience centered on connection, discovery, and belonging.
