Distinct Identities, Shared Community
The design balances two interrelated functions by providing each program with a clear architectural identity while creating opportunities for overlap and interaction. Dedicated spaces for youth ministries and school athletics are thoughtfully organized to support their unique needs, yet interconnected to encourage shared use, strengthen community relationships, and maximize the building’s value to the campus.
Design Details
Responding to a constrained budget, the facility leverages the efficiency of interconnected pre-engineered metal buildings to deliver maximum program space without compromising design quality. Strategic manipulation of the massing at key entry points breaks down the scale of the structure, introducing transparency, light, and visual interest. These welcoming moments create an engaging user experience that elevates the building beyond the expectations of a typical large-format facility, reinforcing its role as a vibrant destination for gathering, recreation, and fellowship.
