A High-Performance Workplace for Innovation & Wellbeing

M.C. Dean’s 25,000 SF office, lab, and warehouse facility establishes a new model for industrial workplace design, bringing together advanced cyber-physical solution development with a strong focus on employee wellbeing. As the first project in South Carolina to achieve both WELL Gold and LEED Gold certifications, the facility includes daylight-filled offices, specialized laboratories, training and fitness spaces, and restorative environments connected to nearby natural trails. Together, these elements support a workplace experience that promotes collaboration, learning, and everyday wellness.

Sustainability Integrated into Every Decision

A collaborative, sustainability-focused design process informed the building’s orientation, material selections, and energy strategies. Key initiatives included indoor air quality testing, permanent air quality monitoring, wellness and ergonomic policies, and rooftop solar panels designed to offset approximately 32% of annual energy use. Complemented by curated artwork and environmental graphics, these strategies contribute to a resilient, efficient workplace that reflects M.C. Dean’s commitment to both operational performance and the people who use the space every day.
