Lenovo Center Renovations
Originally opened in 1999, Lenovo Center serves as home to NC State University men’s basketball and the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes, while hosting more than 150 sports, entertainment, and community events each year. Welcoming more than 1.5 million visitors annually, the arena remains one of the region’s premier destinations. In partnership with Gensler, LS3P is contributing to a comprehensive renovation and expansion that will modernize the facility, create new hospitality opportunities, and strengthen the venue’s long term performance.

Enhancing the Fan Experience
The multi-phased renovation is designed to elevate the experience for fans, athletes, performers, and guests throughout the arena. Improvements will create new premium hospitality offerings, enhance public spaces, and support the evolving expectations of event attendees while allowing the venue to remain an active destination throughout construction.
Modernizing Arena Infrastructure
In addition to fan-focused enhancements, the project includes significant upgrades to the facility’s internal infrastructure and operations. The renovation builds on LS3P’s previous work at Lenovo Center, which included the design of new locker room facilities completed under a separate project. Together, the improvements will position the arena to continue serving as a leading sports and entertainment venue for years to come as part of the overall $300 million investment.
