Expanding Opportunities
LS3P is partnering with the school on a transformative campus expansion designed to strengthen educational opportunities while fostering greater connection, independence, and belonging for every child.
The expansion will create a collection of thoughtfully designed learning environments, including new classrooms, dining areas, media and resource spaces, administrative offices, family support facilities, life skills rooms, and specialized educational spaces. Sited behind the existing school, the addition will seamlessly extend the campus while creating a more cohesive and accessible environment that supports students, families, educators, and caregivers alike.
Design Details
Guided by the belief that the built environment can empower growth and discovery, the design prioritizes flexible, sensory-responsive spaces that encourage exploration, social interaction, and personal development. New indoor and outdoor learning environments will provide opportunities for hands-on experiences, skill-building, and meaningful connections with peers, while fostering a sense of confidence and independence.
Equally important, the expansion is envisioned as a catalyst for community engagement. Enhanced gathering spaces and family-centered amenities will strengthen relationships among students, families, staff, and supporters, enabling the school to expand its reach and impact. Through thoughtful planning and inclusive design, the project advances Frankie Lemmon School’s mission by creating a connected campus where every child feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to thrive.
