A Foundation for Future Expansion
The project represents the first phase of LS3P’s master plan and includes a 250-seat sanctuary, fellowship space, church offices, children’s education areas, and parking. Designed to meet immediate programmatic needs, the facility also lays the groundwork for future campus expansion.
Subsequent phases of the master plan envision a larger 350+ seat gathering space, a covered drop-off area, expanded office and children’s ministry facilities, additional parking, a family life center, adult education space, and an outdoor gazebo and gathering structure. Together, these planned improvements support the church’s long-term vision for growth, connection, and community engagement.
Design Details
The design responds thoughtfully to its wooded setting by minimizing site disturbance and preserving existing trees wherever possible. The sanctuary was positioned away from the roadway to strengthen its connection to the surrounding forest and create a more serene arrival experience.
Architectural elements draw inspiration from the natural character of the site, incorporating gabled wood-frame construction, lapped siding, masonry, and expansive glass. These materials create a warm, approachable aesthetic that complements the landscape while reinforcing a sense of permanence. A welcoming front porch serves as the primary point of arrival, providing a comfortable transition between the outdoors and the building while fostering opportunities for gathering and connection.
