LS3P, serving as Architect of Record in association with Flad Architects and Foil Wyatt Architects, is designing a new campus for the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine (PCVM), South Carolina’s first veterinary medicine program. Located near Clemson University’s main campus, the seven-building veterinary medicine campus will support the college’s mission of education, research, and service while expanding access to veterinary training and care across the state.

South Carolina’s First Veterinary Medicine Program
Nestled within Clemson’s Experimental Forest, the new campus is designed to provide students, faculty, staff, and the community with environments that support wellness, collaboration, and hands-on learning. Academic spaces reflect a whole-student approach, recognizing the rigor of veterinary education while fostering leadership, communication, and clinical skills. Flexible classrooms accommodate multiple teaching methods, while clinical teaching laboratories help students build confidence through practical experience and real-world simulation.
A Campus Designed for Learning, Research, and Care
Designed to reflect the site’s agrarian character and gently sloping terrain, the campus is organized around a central quad that serves as the heart of student life. The seven-building campus includes the Hub, Clinical Teaching Building, Research Building, Ambulatory Service Building, Central Energy Plant, Equine Teaching Building, and Farm Animal Teaching Building. Together, these facilities support academic instruction, research, community veterinary services, and clinical training, creating a comprehensive environment that prepares students for veterinary practice while advancing Clemson’s One Health initiatives.
