A lifelong resident of Wilmington, Chris learned the value of design at an early age, through the eyes of his architect father, Charlie Boney. He has continued his family’s commitment to improving the built environment, contributing to the community, and to fostering issues of social equity.
As Chief Strategy Officer for LS3P, Chris is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and driving the firm’s long-term strategic vision, leading firmwide market strategy, ensuring alignment between market growth, revenue generation, and subject matter expertise. His work has been recognized with Design Awards from AIA Wilmington, AIA NC, and AIA Southeastern, we well as Lower Cape Fear Stewardship Awards for exceptional design and sustainable building practices.
Since graduating with degrees in Architecture from NC State and the University of Virginia in 1997, he has practiced architecture in Wilmington. He has served as Principal Architect-in-charge of buildings such as The Wilson Center for Performing Arts, Betty Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and Live Oak Bank Headquarters.
