Haywood EMS Ribbon Cutting

On December 1st, our Asheville team members attended the opening of the new emergency response base in Waynesville.
The new facility will sleep four and has a full kitchen, along with 24-hour staffing when fully operational. The Jonathan Creek, Maggie Valley and Lake Junaluska communities will see their response times cut by three to four minutes – essential for our more rural areas.

The town expressed a huge amount of gratitude for a facility that was very needed to help reduce response times. The design team had to consider the topography (Wade Trim did a great job leading variance requests), the Town of Waynesville staff was a great public entity to work with, and John Medford (Vannoy’s superintendent for the job) was delightful to coordinate with for site visits.
