We’re excited to celebrate a major milestone for the McLeod Health Cheraw Hospital as the project officially moves into construction! 

 

Last week’s Cheraw Groundbreaking marked the beginning of a transformational investment in high‑quality, community‑centered healthcare for Chesterfield and Marlboro counties.

 

This new facility will replace the aging 45‑year‑old hospital with a modern, efficient, and patient‑focused environment designed to elevate care for the community. The replacement hospital features new inpatient beds, upgraded surgery, pharmacy, sterile processing and imaging services, as well as state‑of‑the‑art medical technology—supporting McLeod Health’s commitment to innovation, resilience, and exceptional patient experience.

 

It also reflects a collaborative, multidisciplinary design effort dedicated to creating a healing, future‑ready campus for the region.
