Charles Boney Named Chair of Cameron Art Museum Board

The Cameron Art Museum, opened in 1962, is one of the most highly regarded museums in the state and is a staple of eastern North Carolina. When announcing the news, the museum wrote that Charles “brings decades of architectural leadership, civic engagement and deep knowledge of the region to his role as board chair. His leadership comes at an important moment for CAM as the museum continues to grow its audience, expand access to the arts and strengthen its role as Eastern North Carolina’s premier art museum.” Additionally, the museum’s CEO said “Charles brings extraordinary vision, experience, and dedication to this role, along with a deep understanding of how art, architecture, education, and community shape a vibrant region.”
Charles continues to be an integral part of the Wilmington community. His appointment to the Cameron Arts Museum Board of Trustees reinforces his unwavering dedication to the place he and his family has called home for generations. Congratulations, Charles!
