A special congrats to Charisma Stidham, our newest EGD team member, who received an AIA Greenville Student Citation for her partner project, FARM-ABLE.

 

The project centers on a fully ADA-accessible urban farm as a community-driven response to food insecurity in Birmingham, AL. It’s surrounded by multigenerational housing, free home health aid services, and a fresh food market, together forming a self-sustaining ecosystem that supports dignity, well-being, and local empowerment.

 

The project is thoughtful and approached with a mature and intentional design rigor. Aspirational and speculative, yet grounded in research, design, and genuine empathy.
