This past Saturday, April 25, several members of our Columbia team showed up for one of the most beloved community events in town, the annual Bocce Bash at Benedict College’s Charles W. Johnson Stadium. Hosted by the Columbia Rotary, the event brought together 64 teams in support of Special Olympics South Carolina and Columbia Rotary Scholarships.

 

Equal parts friendly competition and community impact, the day captured LS3P’s spirit perfectly. Mid-match, David Anderson summed up our collective mindset when he told fellow competitors:
“Where others see grass, we see angles, vectors, mass, graph paper.”

 

Clearly, that approach paid off, LS3P’s Versace Bocce team took home the win! Even more meaningful was the opportunity to rally around an organization that champions inclusion, opportunity, and life-changing programs for athletes across our state.

 

Huge kudos to our Columbia team for showing how community engagement, teamwork, and a little design thinking can make a real difference.
