Connecting Visitors to the Landscape

Positioned on a ridge overlooking Lake James, the visitor center serves as the trailhead for an accessible path leading to a pedestrian bridge that spans a narrow cove north of the building. Together, these elements provide visitors with enhanced access to the park while supporting opportunities for education, exploration, and recreation.

Access and Visitor Amenities

The project also includes a 225-car parking area and associated site access improvements that support visitor arrival and circulation. Designed to accommodate a range of park users, the site infrastructure complements the visitor center and outdoor amenities, creating a cohesive gateway experience for Lake James State Park.
