Urban Designer I

Tenecia Jones, Assoc. AIA, is an urban designer in LS3P’s Urban Environments practice. She brings a background in architectural design and urban design and is moved by the relationships between the built and natural environment, humans, psychology, and overall health as she designs with inclusivity in mind. Her passion for inclusive design is inspired by her desire to create safe and equitable places for disenfranchised communities of color. In her career thus far, she has worked on various small to large-scale projects in urban design, mixed-use environments, and the public realm.

Tenecia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Master of Urban Design from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She also holds a Master of Architecture with a certificate in Public Interest Design from North Carolina State University. During her studies, she’s had the opportunity to travel to in Prague, Czech Republic, Germany, and Copenhagen, Denmark, studying walkable cities and sustainable urban design.
