An Innovative Care Hub
The design is rooted in the concept of whole-person wellness, creating a welcoming campus that balances advanced clinical capabilities with a strong connection to the surrounding community. The hospital and MOB are thoughtfully organized to support seamless coordination of care, intuitive patient journeys, and efficient operational workflows. A clear architectural hierarchy and carefully planned circulation networks simplify navigation, while multidisciplinary clinical spaces foster collaboration among care teams and improve continuity of care.
Design Details
Responding to both the coastal setting and challenging site conditions, the project incorporates resilient design strategies, including elevated critical infrastructure and surgical suites that enhance long-term adaptability and preparedness. Inside, patient units, waiting areas, and public spaces are shaped by principles of evidence-based design, prioritizing abundant natural light, views to the outdoors, and a calming material palette that supports healing and wellbeing. Open, light-filled interior environments, strategically framed views, and thoughtfully scaled gathering spaces create a sense of comfort and dignity for patients, families, and caregivers alike.
