Tell us about your role at LS3P.

As an HR Generalist, I work to support the firm and the employee life cycle from candidacy and onboarding to benefits and compliance.

What’s inspiring you right now?

The motivation and strength that I’ve seen in others over the past year.

What are the greatest challenges we’re facing in the industry?

Talent. Identifying, recruiting, and retaining talented staff who not only have the technical skills, but also the attitude and drive to be successful at LS3P.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in your role?

Get comfortable with asking questions, sharing your thoughts, and stretching beyond your limits. Most importantly, surround yourself with people that hold the qualities and skills you’d like to develop. Humans tend to mimic the company they keep.

What is your favorite hometown restaurant, and what should I order if I go there?

Although it’s now closed, Oriental Garden is the OG (literally). I’ll suggest Wild Olive on Johns Island for my current favorite. Get the gnocchi or the chicken parm – you’ll thank me!

What previous job outside of architecture taught you the most?

Outside of the architecture industry, I learned an immeasurable amount from working in education. Everything we say, do, and show to children has an impact on their future and ours – small or large.

What is your superpower? (Anything you’re unusually good at)

I can sleep anywhere, any time.

What is your all-time favorite song?

I really love music so this is incredibly difficult. A top three would include Crazy Game of Poker by O.A.R, Changes by 2Pac, and Johnny Cash’s cover of Hurt by Nine Inch Nails.

What place have you visited that changed you the most?

Hungary – specifically Romhány
