On the top floors of an art deco inspired high-rise, this stunning penthouse residence is a quiet refuge with a sophisticated aesthetic. The client wanted to create a place that embodied their life philosophy of simplicity and balance. The result was Heiwa, a place where the couple can surround themselves with the art they love and entertain close friends in an intimate and peaceful atmosphere.
The clients’ appreciation for the simplicity, balance, and restraint of Japanese architecture was a significant influence in the design, which uses a range of natural materials such as bamboo, granite, marble, and wood. Huge two story windows flood the space with light and offer breathtaking views of both the city and country side.
