Natural light was the key design component used for this new corporate office designed for this 150-year old beverage distribution company. Each member of the organization has visual access to outdoor spaces which provides value to the employees working within. Large linear skylights were designed into the ceilings in core areas where daylight was not accessible to bring daylight into the spaces.
Circular forms coupled with brushed aluminum finishes are repeated throughout the facility, creating a strong metaphor to reinforce the owner’s beverage product. In contrast, burled maple wood panels are used to reinforce the symbiotic balance between the natural and the manufactured.
Exhibition spaces located throughout the facility accommodate rotating displays of the company’s history and corporate vision. Displays depicting the origins of the company date back to the 1850s. A free-standing glass display box, designed into the reception lobby, displays over two hundred beer steins of all shapes, sizes and depictions.
