Waterloo Elementary School offers a growing area of the county a state-of-the-arts facility, fully equipped for twenty-first century technology with a capacity for 600 students. The 63,000-square-foot school is designed to maximize economical construction techniques, including pre-fabricated steel structural components where suitable. Easily identified building pods are joined with transparent connections; an entry tower makes finding the front door an easy task.
The new facility is located on nearly 80 acres of previously undeveloped timber land. The site was selected with a vision of constructing an educational campus, including a future middle school and athletic facilities. Proposed master planning solutions accommodate future construction, and provide the district with an option to sell out-parcels of the site.
