The Fine Arts Center of Greenville County is located on the campus of the new Wade Hampton High School and provides advanced comprehensive arts instruction to students from district high schools.
The new 65,000 sq ft facility houses a variety of program spaces for the visual arts, creative writing, theater, film/video, dance and music. In addition to working studios for ceramics, painting, printmaking, photography, woodworking, and 3D metals, the building includes multiple acoustically designed studios. A complete wood working shop and film/video studio and editing rooms work in conjunction with a 210-seat recital hall and black box theatre to provide students with an intensive pre-professional program of study.
Clerestory windows along a striking raised roofline allow natural light into the expansive two-story lobby and broad corridors that showcases the works of both current and past students.
