JUST FRESH RESTAURANT AT SEASIDE FARMS

“Eat Well . . . Feel Great” became the guiding principle for developing the prototype design for the Just Fresh restaurant franchise. The owner wanted a beautiful and sustainable environment that would be functional and smart. LS3P suggested they take it a step further to capitalize on the essence of their story: serve fresh, healthy food in a fresh, healthy environment. This could perfectly underscore the fact that their “dedication to the community” and their “commitment to employees and customers was evident in each aspect of the Just Fresh® experience” By introducing sustainable design concepts into the actual restaurant space, they created a wholesome environment for their employees and patrons. These sustainable elements not only reduced the restaurant’s impact on the environment but also reduced the long-term operating costs for the restaurant. The project entered the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) pilot LEED® program for Commercial Interiors, where it received a silver LEED certification to become the country’s first chain restaurant to join the USGBC’s Sustainable Design pilot program.
