The Culinary Arts Facility at Central Piedmont Community College allows expanded programs in culinary arts in the City of Charlotte that is experiencing a thriving culinary scene. The new 29,000 SF facility includes classrooms, three cooking labs, an auditorium with cooking station for televised programs, and executive and main dining rooms with views of uptown Charlotte. A traditional exterior continues the College’s goal of creating a classic setting for its Central Campus.
The facility overlooks a plaza area with fountains, lawns, and memorial gardens stretching down to the revitalized Sugar Creek Greenway. The project includes an extensive herb garden, rain garden and 30,000-gallon rainwater underground cistern for irrigation..
