This 200,000 SF building is part of Cape Fear Community College’s downtown campus. The design reflects the architecture of the former Atlantic Coastline Headquarters, which was demolished in the late 1960’s. The building site incorporates the former ACRR rail bed, utilizing it as a student park.
Union Station houses administrative offices of the business department, student services, Cape Fear Community College Foundation and Institutional Services, nursing, biology and chemistry labs, 300-seat lecture hall, a large multi-purpose room, and general purpose classrooms. A separate 1200 car parking deck serves this new building as well as the existing campus.
