Associated with the design of a new 80-bed hospital for Roper St. Francis, this medical office building is designed to accommodate physicians and services to support the hospital. Located directly adjacent to the hospital, the office building is 3-stories with a connector bridge accessible from the first and second floor. The building is designed as a shell and core with hospital administration and women’s imaging. The shell and core features a drop-off patient and visitor canopy, entry lobby, elevator lobby, two stretcher size elevators, public restrooms, and support areas (mechanical, data, and electrical rooms).
The interior design is consistent with the hospital and offers a seamless entry into the hospital via the connector bridge. The office building and hospital are separated by an active courtyard accessible by the dining facility in the hospital. The curved design feature of the building is reflective of the curve of the hospital and also houses a future specialty “retail” component on the first floor, as well as a hospital administration suite on the second floor.
