Internal Medicine Associates’s new 75,000 square foot medical office building is located at the Verdae Development in Greenville, SC. The practice occupies 55,000 square feet, while 20,000 square feet will be utilized as leased space and future expansion. The new building contains clinical and non-clinical areas for the 25 Internists also includes expertise in Cardiology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, and Gastroenterology. The practice anticipates 500 patients per day and wanted an architectural solution that incorporated the following design goals: welcoming character, an architecture that is open to community, day light-filled spaces, a dynamic and energetic design, a strongly marked entrance, clear internal circulation, durable materials, and a professional, understated image. The interior design supports the overall architectural design intent with emphasis on color theory and the healing environment, durability in materials, way finding, and daylight.
