This 2-story Contemporary-Asian style home is located on the brow of a hill with views to Horseshoe Lake.

A stone and timber entry porte cochere greets visitors, evoking in detail an Asian tori gate.  A stained cedar trellis carries the entry over a wooden bridge and down into the courtyard, which is the heart of the home.  The residence is designed as a collection of individual rooms wrapping around an outdoor courtyard with reflecting pool.

The ground floor consists of the entry foyer, dining room, kitchen/family room, study, guest suite, and covered decks.  The 2-story great room features a pair of window walls that provide a dramatic vista to the lake. Bamboo flooring, river rock, acid stained concrete, fieldstone, and cedar trellises form a natural material palette that reinforces the Asian formal elements of the home.
