FORSCOM/USARC Headquarters, Fort Bragg
The scale of the Combined Headquarters Building compliments the scale of the Polo Field, and the axial massing of the building centered on the Polo Field and fronting Knox Street creates a truly classical composition. The FORSCOM and USARC Combined Headquarters Complex is designed in the Georgian Revival style that characterizes the Old Post district of Fort Bragg. The architecture appropriately reflects the importance and heritage of the two commands. The main facades are classical three part compositions joined by a central element that is the main entrance. Each command is distinguished by an entablature supported by columns in the composite Ionic style that stands on a two story Georgian portico.
