Elizabeth City State University School of Aviation

The School of Aviation is a 4-year bachelor’s degree program offering training in various aspects of aviation science. Housed at the Elizabeth City Airport, the facility is a centerpiece of the new Aviation Park.

The program includes several hangers for the support of aircraft maintenance and flight programs, lab spaces with digital simulators for in-flight training, a tower control lab for air traffic control simulations, and pseudo-pilot training stations.  An auditorium will support a visiting lecture program and distance-learning programs.

This facility is part of a joint venture between Elizabeth City State University and College of the Albemarle, and supports aviation science programs within the larger UNC system.
