DACUSVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
This prototype school accommodates 550 students, with infrastructure designed for expansion to 650. LS3P worked closely with the school district to adapt this design for the community’s needs. This design, which has been used successfully for numerous other schools, easily adapts to each individual site for optimum solar orientation, providing abundant natural lighting to enhance the learning experience.
The school radiates from a central entry rotunda, allowing students, faculty and visitors can “see education at work.” Views from the entry into the media center, multi-purpose room, administrative space, and classroom wings facilitate monitoring of common spaces while promoting a sense of connection within the school community.
