CU-ICAR Autopark and Management Tower | Clemson University

LS3P/Neal Prince, SmithGroup, and Walker Parking Consultants collaborated on this new LEED® Gold parking structure.   The autopark was designed for the first phase of development of a 250-acre research campus, serving as the parking hub and administrative headquarters for five adjacent research buildings. The four-story tower provides 23,000 SF of flexible space for campus management offices and a fitness center.

The ground floor features a gallery for community events, and a display space for research projects which replicates an automobile showroom. The parking garage contains 1,200 spaces in a pre-cast structure.  A rooftop garden and patio and a ground-floor coffee shop serve as interactive community meeting spots overlooking the landscaped terrace forming the ‘town square’ of the campus.

The Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) is powered by the university and its corporate partners such as BMW, Microsoft, Michelin and IBM.
