Library Addition and Renovation | Columbia International University
|After a 2010 fire gutted much of the interior of the campus library, LS3P/Neal Prince designed a renovation to update and reorganize the interior. A new wing was added at this time, serving as an entry feature for the library and providing additional staff offices and student study areas.
The new design takes its cues from the style of the existing building, respecting its immediate context while also providing a fresh sense of identity. With its lofty interior volumes, refined material palette, and dynamic roof planes, the new entry serves as a beacon to the rest of the campus.
