Clemson University West Campus Chiller Facility
This project included renovations to an existing raw water intake facility, and the construction of a new chilled water facility to house 3,600 tons of cooling equipment. The new 2-story, 10,000 SF building was designed to complement existing campus buildings and features natural daylighting and exposed structural elements. The building houses three 1,200-ton centrifugal chillers, flat plate collector heat exchangers, and associated pumping equipment to deliver chilled water to the western half of the campus. Three fiberglass cooling towers with sight-proof louvers echo the structure of the chilled water facility.
