Atlatl Corporate Headquarters

Charleston, SC

Design of a new office for a high-tech corporate client who develops software for engineered to order industrial products. To address shifting workplace modalities for burgeoning millennial personnel, a central informal gathering space was included. This area consists of a large open break & coffee area for multiple functions including dining, informal meetings, and all hands gatherings. Furnishings are easily moveable and stackable for larger gatherings. Since most of the users are located in open office environments, several small meeting rooms were included throughout to offer necessary privacy for meetings, VTC or heads down work. These enclosed areas with the open central gathering space, helped to provide a balance of public and private meeting spaces.

The design features polished concrete flooring in open offices, sliding glass barn doors for private offices, and exposed structural elements. Most durable finishes are neutral, with company logo based accent colors occurring in easily altered finishes such as paint. This future flexibility was desirable to both the tenant and the developer.
