The Vendue, an art hotel at 19 Vendue Range in Charleston which was recently designed by LS3P’s Charleston office, received one of six prestigious National Design Excellence Awards given by the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) at their 63rd annual National Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah. This project also won a 2015 First Place Excellence in Design Award from The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) as well as an Award of Excellence given by the AWI.
The Vendue was recently featured on the front page in Design Solutions magazine, the official journal of the Architectural Woodworking Institute. The design connected five historic buildings dating back to the 1780’s with a walkway and a series of arched openings, with much of the public space devoted to art. Renovated spaces included the lobby, dining area, coffee shop, select guest rooms, and rooftop bar.
