LS3P recognizes architectural visions, dedication and community service in the Carolinas during a 50th Anniversary celebration in May. The celebration will acknowledge the achievements and successes over the past five decades, honor founder Frank Lucas, and look forward to the firm’s continued dedication to delivering architectural excellence.
While consistently delivering creative yet practical solutions, LS3P has maintained a commitment to helping shape communities. With deep-rooted ties to the community, LS3P takes pride in contributions ranging from hands-on volunteer work to local organization involvement.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate this significant milestone and take a moment to reflect on our achievements,” said LS3P Chairman/ President/ CEO Thom Penney. “Our pride in our work comes from not only exceeding our client’s expectations, but also from enhancing the foundation of each and every community involved. We’re honored to take this time to reflect and look to our future, while giving back to our community.”
LS3P has worked on numerous key projects in the Carolinas over the last five decades. Work spans several industries with practice areas designated for each focus, including:
¦Department of Defense
¦Single and Multi-Family Residential
LS3P Chairman Emeritus Frank Lucas has devoted equal parts of his energy and efforts to both the projects he has worked on, as well as the communities where they reside. His distinguished record of professional service at the local, state and national level has driven his involvement in many public education advocacy groups. Throughout his dedicated career, Lucas has created many of the notable buildings in the Carolinas and in addition to his many philanthropic contributions, he has served on the faculty of the South Carolina Real Estate Institute for ten years, as President of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, as Chancellor of the AIA College of Fellows and is a founder and Director of CresCom Bank.
“The 50th Anniversary Celebration symbolizes our dedication to delivering excellent architectural results while making significant contributions to environmental and sustainability efforts, historic preservation and active community involvement,” said, Lucas. “Going out into the communities where we have been involved for so many years will allow us to show our appreciation by giving back to our youth in the areas where we live and work with our own families.”
On May 1st, more than 200 LS3P employees will give back to the community as a part of a “Day of Engagement” to mark the 50th Anniversary date. Staff members will donate time visiting area schools and hospitals to read a book to young children that was written and illustrated by the creative team at LS3P and inspired by the firm’s founder.
