LS3P’s Helen Byce, Marissa DiLoreto, and other staff volunteers have worked with the students of NEXT High School for almost two years educating them on the architecture, construction, and engineering fields as an ACE affiliate chapter. NEXT is a relatively new high school, so student projects usually focus on designing improvements for the school building. On May 19th, the students presented their project for this year: a new coffee shop space which will replace their current student-run coffee cart. The students are even working with local sponsors to see their project through construction. Congratulations to these hard working students, and a big thank you to our ACE Mentor volunteers!
