LS3P’s Helen Byce, Marissa DiLoreto, and other staff volunteers have worked with the students of NEXT High School for almost two years educating them on the architecture, construction, and engineering fields as an ACE affiliate chapter. NEXT is a relatively new high school, so student projects usually focus on designing improvements for the school building. On May 19th, the students presented their project for this year: a new coffee shop space which will replace their current student-run coffee cart. The students are even working with local sponsors to see their project through construction. Congratulations to these hard working students, and a big thank you to our ACE Mentor volunteers! buff.ly/2qT0fBM ... See MoreSee Less

What a fitting honor for our founder, Mr. Frank Lucas, the 2017 recipient of the Leslie N. Boney Spirit of Fellowship Award just moments ago at the convention in Orlando!

In 2000, the Chancellor of the College of Fellows, Robert A. Odermatt, FAIA, presented the first Spirit of Fellowship award to Leslie N. Boney Jr., FAIA, for his outstanding service and commitment to the College. Later that same year, the Executive Committee of the College voted to name the award after the first recipient, and thus it became known as the Leslie N. Boney Spirit of Fellowship Award. The award recognizes continuous, exceptional service and dedication to the College.

Congratulations Mr. Lucas!

So honored to be a part of this amazing group of people - what a wonderful experience!Progressive Education Program (PEP) students are thrilled today by the generosity of LS3P ASSOCIATES LTD., who presented $500 this afternoon to their #BCS program. It was at the recent North Carolina School Boards Association conference that Roberson district representative Amy Churchill put her card in a fishbowl and won the big check to a school of her choice- but how was she to choose only one school? Ms. Churchill ultimately chose to direct the funds toward the PEP program in order to benefit all county students with special needs!

The check was presented at the T. C. Roberson High School PEP location by LS3P Senior Vice President, Mr. Paul Boney, who travelled across the state to meet the the students and their Principal, Mr. Larry Weigel. When he arrived, he was surprised to be welcomed by a sizable group of students, teachers, and school administrators, including Superintendent Dr. Tony Baldwin and Ms. Ann Franklin, Madam Chair of the Board of Education!

“Our firm believes strongly that we should always give back in a way that is meaningful. I cannot think of a better place for us to make a small difference than in the lives of these children,” said Mr. Boney. “We really believe in the vision of education and its impact on the students, parents, and community.”
