We are currently seeking a Specifications Writer for our office in Charlotte, NC.
The incumbent will be responsible for specifications delivery and optimization; coordinates with Design Team on schedules, budgets and assignments; develops and maintains standards, checklists and process consistency; provides guidance/direction on tailoring specifications to delivery method; oversees master files for market-specific specifications. Candidates must be passionate about design; detail-oriented; efficient; devoted to quality output; able to work independently, as well as in a team environment; possess the organizational skills to prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines concurrently; and have excellent communication skills.
Qualifications + Education
Qualified applicants possess an Accredited Professional Bachelor’s degree or an Associate degree in design or construction related field (architecture, construction management, engineering, product design, etc.) with additional experience.
An ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in assembling specifications for projects of wide ranging design and scope; experience in applying materials and methods to projects in related market types is required; Architect Registration, CSI Credentials and LEED AP or equivalent experience in sustainable design specifying is desirable, not required; and experience with MasterSpec, Specs-In-Tact, AutoDesk Revit and eSPECS is highly preferred.
A cover letter, resume with salary history and salary expectations and portfolio demonstrating Revit skills and rendering abilities is required.
