Vice President  |  Design Leader

Brian Wurst contributes decades of diverse and unique project experience to the team. Throughout his career he has been involved in many projects in several historic cities, both stateside and overseas. With a gift for sketching and rendering, Brian collaborates with virtually every office on visioning and charrette exercises to bring a quick and artistic hand to the session, and he enjoys representing solutions to clients for their feedback. Brian has also enhanced the culture of design within the firm, providing design leadership as past chair of LS3P’s firm-wide Alchemy committee and current chair of Alchemy in Charleston.

Outside of the office, Brian is involved in the local arts community, and presented at the Charleston-based Parliament Group’s Pecha Kucha No. 8 for “working class creatives.”  He is also involved in the ICSC, and has presented at the national conference on the value of a good charrette. Brian has been honored with numerous design awards and has served as visiting professor and guest lecturer at several universities. His work has been featured in Architectural Record and Progressive Architecture. Endowed with a notable talent for expressive and endearing illustration, Brian was tapped to illustrate the firm’s wildly successful children’s book, Lucas the Beaver, as part of our 50th anniversary celebration.

In his free time Brian paints and plays golf, but not at the same time.
